Adolescents are simultaneously wrenching away and hanging on for dear life as they try to navigate their way toward young-adulthood. Parents too! Science tells us that the frontal lobes of the brain that process judgment and decision-making are not fully developed until the early twenties. How do we juggle preparation for adultood with their not-quite-there-yet minds and behavior? Equally important -- how will we as parents survive? We will explore our experiences over three sessions; if the group chooses, it could add sessions and become a longer-term support group.
This is one in this year's "Living From Your Faith" program series. If you have not yet registered, but would like to attend, please let Rev. LaMar know. It is helpful to have a count in case there are handouts. If you are not yet sure of your schedule, never fear -- it will be fine to just show up.
