You are welcome to a Special Sundays After where we will discuss our ongoing relationship with People Acting Together in Howard [PATH]!
Back in January, 14 of you participated in the listening campaign that PATH (People Acting Together in Howard) conducted across Howard County. Over the course of two meetings, members shared their stories and current concerns, as part of PATH’s efforts to develop its agenda to shape upcoming state and local elections and make them about the issues that are most pressing in people’s day-to-day lives.
Sunday’s conversation will include:
-
Revisiting the issues identified in our January listening session to determine which ones we want to take ownership of. We can choose to narrow our list to a few high priority items or keep the list broad. Either way, we will need to identify members or friends who are willing to “take point” on each issue.
-
How to work with PATH to connect our point people with people in other churches and community organizations to expand our impact on these issues.
-
How to leverage PATH to expand the impact of our existing social justice work – like our Justice in Action Circle, and our Second Sunday Collections team – and make sure we are coordinating instead of duplicating existing efforts.
