ALL UUs—including those not registered for GA!—are welcome to participate in this year’s General Assembly Day of Service in partnership with South Baltimore Community Land Trust.
On Friday, June 20 from 2:30-7:00 PM, UUs will gather in Curtis Bay, a neighborhood in South Baltimore, for a variety of tasks, mainly outdoors. Through this project, we will not only make improvements in a community space and make progress on new affordable housing projects, we will build connections with our neighbors in a part of the city that experiences environmental racism and systemic disinvestment.

The tasks we will take on will be at the direction of our partners at South Baltimore Community Land Trust and will be based on needs that have been identified by the people of the Curtis Bay community. We are excited to apply what we learned in this year’s Climate Justice Revival as we follow the lead of those most impacted, build on good work that is already being done, take on manageable tasks, and embrace the joy that comes from working side by side.
