Trauma is not rare, distant, nor limited to extreme events. We may carry wounds— many invisible—that shape how we live, love, and respond to the world. Rather than seeing ourselves or others as broken, we are called to recognize the resilience that has helped us survive. Healing opens the door to becoming the person we were never allowed to be. Our past may shape us, but it does not define us.
