On Sunday, November 8, Channing’s RE Youth Group will meet for a story and activities centered on the theme of courage, specifically on having courage to be our true selves. Please RSVP to Julia at youth.re@channingmc.org by Thursday, November 5 if you plan to have your children attend. (Parents are welcome to attend and participate as well!) Thanks!
Religious Education for Youth is now offered at Channing Memorial Church! After The Story for All Ages, children meet with RE Youth Group Leader, Julia Lawrence, for meetings downstairs in the “Little Room” for the duration of the service.
The aim is for activities to center around the current theme of the month or topic presented during services and is related to Unitarian Universalist Values. Meetings are conducted in a supportive atmosphere, respectful of and caring toward all participants present. All activity supplies are provided.
An RE group geared to ages from roughly 5 to 10 years is currently happening. It takes place on the Second Sunday of the month. A group for older children is also available and would also meet once a month, however, is not presently occurring due to lack of participants. Please contact Julia if you are interested in having your child attend this group as well at youth.re@channingmc.org. Also, if you have any questions or concerns regarding RE Youth Groups, please do not hesitate to contact Julia at the above email address, or find her at Coffee Hour after service to chat! Thank you.
