Asking a question is the beginning of a new adventure! In the Channing Primary RE Youth Group, meeting on July 12, we will pose “I-Wonder-Questions” about ourselves to “awaken our curiosity.” We will follow questions to where they take us, even if we don’t find clear answers. We will each begin making our own “I-Wonder-Question-Book” in which we will ask and respond to four questions presented in a story and in a group activity.

Religious Education for Youth is now offered at Channing Memorial Church! After The Story for All Ages, children meet with Channing RE Youth Group Leader, Julia Lawrence, for meetings downstairs at Epiphany in the “Little Room” for the duration of the service.
The program’s aim is for activities to center around the current theme of the month or topic presented during services and is related to Unitarian Universalist Values. RE meetings are conducted in a supportive atmosphere, respectful of and caring toward all participants present. All activity supplies are provided.
An RE youth group geared to ages from 5 to 10 years is currently taking place on the Second Sunday of the month. A group for older children is also available and would also meet once a month, however is not presently occurring due to lack of participants.
