“Where We’ve Been, Where We’re Going” with Rev. Jane Bennett Smith
We carry the imprints of our past within us. Our experiences shape who we are while leaving us open to who we are becoming. As we begin a new church year, we’ll explore what it means to honor what has come before, draw upon its wisdom, and embrace the paradox of beginning anew. What does it mean to begin again while we carry within all that has shaped us?
Water Communion
When we gather for our annual Water Communion service on Sunday, September 13, we will join in a ritual of belonging, renewal, and shared community. Together, we will share the stories these waters carry, bless them, and pour them into a common vessel alongside water from years past. In doing so, we weave this year’s experiences together with those of members and friends who have come before us.
