We are in the midst of an important milestone in our faith. Our denomination is currently revising our Principles and Purposes via the rewording of Article II. Instead of articulating the Seven Principles, this new wording highlights the values of our faith and how we covenant to be in the world. These values are summed up in six key words: Interdependence, Equity, Transformation, Pluralism, Generosity, and Justice. Each of these values stem from the core of our faith: Love. This below link is to the Article II Study Report, and offers extensive information about Article II. I strongly recommend reading the Report in its entirety.
The proposed wording of Article II is not yet in its final state and will face revisions before ultimately being voted on at General Assembly 2024.
