Sunday Service (online)- “Building Beloved Community” by the Rev. Jane Smith

Sunday, October 4, 10:00 a.m. online service— By Rev. Jane Smith

Love and compassion are rooted deeply in both our Unitarian and Universalist faith histories. What does this look like through the lens of justice, where faith and our call to action are reciprocal and deeply intertwined? What does this look like today, as the need for racial justice calls out? Today we decenter voices of privilege, and instead work to center the voices of the marginalized.

New to UU Discussion after service this Sunday, Oct. 4, at 11:15 a.m.

New to Unitarian Universalism? New to Channing Memorial Church?  Want to learn a little more?  Join Rev. Jane after worship on October 4 to discuss our faith.  We’ll explore our history, our Principles, and our faith today. We’ll also get a glimpse into the history and happenings of this special congregation. This is also an opportunity to get to know a bit more about one another! I invite anyone who may be interested to grab a cup of coffee, a snack, and join in on the conversation  Contact Rev. Jane for more information.

(Scheduling note: this will be an optional breakout room within the Virtual Coffee Hour.)

For those who already have the Zoom Id for this event,  please note that passwords are required for dialing in and you should read the Minister’s emails or the weekly Channing email news, which will include the necessary information.

Please write to membership@channingmc.org for a zoom id for access to this service.  We would appreciate your name, email address and (if you plan to dial in) the last 4 digits of your phone number.    This will help us keep a safe and secure online service.    We would appreciate requests a day ahead, though we will do our best to respond to all who wish to be a part of our service.

[Do you have questions about worship or other Channing activities? Do you need assistance making connections online with Channing friends?  With using Zoom?  Are you in need of resources? Contact a member of the Community Connections Committee (connections@channingmc.org), and they will refer someone to you to help.]
