Perhaps the central tenet of the Christian faith is that if you believe in Jesus as your personal saviour, God will forgive you of your sins. This Sunday I want to consider a retelling of the story of Job that puts it the other way ‘round. Namely, that if we as humans want to believe in God, then we need to forgive God his/her/its/their sins. Does this even make any sense? I contend that the answer is a resounding “yes!”.
