Liberation Theology: Creating a Way with Rev. Jane Smith

Wrestling with theology allows one to grapple with life’s deep questions and find a source of meaning, sustenance, and purpose. This Sunday we explore a theology crafted from Christianity and tailored to oppressed groups. Liberation theologians describe their understanding of God as on the side of the oppressed and Jesus as suffering with them.  Through examining this life-giving interpretation of Christian faith, we examine how we can come to understand our own holy, whatever that may be, through the inspirational lens of those who found a way forward when no way seemed possible.
