“Tonglen: An Ancient Practice for Modern Times” – with Meghan Mulvenna of Cedarhurst Unitarian Universalists
Tonglen, which is Tibetan for ‘giving and taking,’ is a form of meditation practice in Tibetan Buddhism. Inspired by Buddhist teacher Pema Chodron’s recent and final retreat at Omega Institute in Rhinebeck, NY, this service will offer a recap of Pema’s suggestions for using Tonglen in our current times. While many of us breathe in the suffering that abounds, we may not be attuned to the endless opportunities to breathe out relief and genuine well wishes for healing, for All.
